2017 WIN Membership Survey Results
Thanks to everyone who participated in the 2017 WIN Membership Survey! We appreciate your thoughtful feedback and suggestions for how we can make WIN a more diverse and inclusive community.
The survey yielded many positive reviews about WIN’s professional development opportunities and social events, but it also indicated areas in need of improvement.
Here are some key findings:
WINners are enthusiastic about WIN’s professional development opportunities but are interested in more dedicated programming.
Over 90% of respondents believe that WIN excels at providing professional development and networking opportunities. However, many WINners would also like to see more trainings; mentoring opportunities; programming for mid-level and senior-level professional women; and events for those not working in the nonprofit sector.
WINners love WODW!
WIN members overwhelmingly voted for Women Opening Doors for Women (WODW) as their favorite signature event. This year’s event is just around the corner! Click here to learn more.
WIN has room for growth.
When asked if they consider WIN to be a diverse community, most respondents agreed, but a significant number of those surveyed (39%) either disagreed or felt neutral about the statement.
Similarly, some (26%) answered that they do not feel represented at WIN events or felt neutral regarding representation.
The Executive Committee has reviewed the findings and are committed to using them as a tool. Please read their statement below:
WIN seeks to create an inclusive environment through education, training, recruitment, retention, and engagement. The Executive Committee strives to be proactive and mindful about diversity and inclusivity in partnership with WIN members, WIN leaders, the Advisory Council, and the WIN community at large. We recognize that the WIN community is built on lifting as we climb the ladder of success. This priority is centered on the accountability of all of us in ensuring there is a diversity of voices and communities on the ladder.
