The Young Women of Achievement (YWA) Awards are the WIN’s annual celebration of highly talented up-and-coming young women leaders making a difference in our community. YWA acknowledges young, pro-choice, Democratic women of excellence who have made strides in their fields and a real difference in the world. YWA nominees are pro-choice, Democratic women who are 35 years of age or younger and live in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

What Are the Five Nominee Categories?
Advocacy & Organizing: A woman who excels as a community advocate or organizer. Nominees in this category may advocate on behalf of women’s rights or galvanize communities to do the same through an organization locally, regionally, nationally or internationally.
Entrepreneurship for Good: A woman who embodies an entrepreneurial spirit in a full or part-time manner. Nominees in this category may be an innovator in their field or have founded or managed an organization that promotes social change.
Politics & Campaigns: A woman who engages in politics to promote pro-choice, Democratic values. Nominees in this category may have worked on a campaign or for a political official or organization.
Reproductive Justice & Women’s Rights: A woman who promotes the pro-choice values of WIN through their work in reproductive justice and women’s rights. Nominees in this category advocate on behalf of woman’s right to choose in their personal or professional life.
Service Beyond Measure: A woman who is committed to community service or civic engagement. Nominees in this category may work for a nonprofit organization in their personal or professional life.
