WIN is a member-driven organization. Members elect the Executive Committee (EC) each year in July. The role of the EC is to oversee day-to-day operations and make decisions about the strategic direction of the organization.
Members of the EC also serve as liaisons to the many other appointed leadership teams within WIN. This involves recruiting leaders, supporting them as they carry out their plans for the year, and connecting them to the broader organization and other leadership teams.
Below you will find more information about each of WIN's leadership teams, as well as the organizational chart.
WIN is run by an elected Executive Committee (EC) of 12 women responsible for coordinating the day to day functions of the organization. Headed by WIN's Chair, the EC meets biweekly to manage administrative issues, plan for new projects and develop strategic plans for the organization.
WIN's Network Council is comprised of over 50 women who chair WIN's 20+ Networks. These Network Co-Chairs oversee the planning, implementation and evaluation of WIN's network programming. As WIN's largest leadership team, the Network Council reflects the diverse professional and political interests of our members, reminding us of our strength in unity as Democratic, pro-choice women.
WIN's Professional Development Series (PDS) tackles many of the important questions and situations that arise for aspiring progressive leaders. PDS events are exclusively for WIN members as a benefit to joining WIN. PDS leaders strive to ensure that all WIN members have access to unique professional development events to ensure members are successful, savvy and competitive in DC.
WIN Ambassadors are WIN's on the ground recruitment team, comprised of WIN members who are enthusiastic about WIN, and want to spread the word about membership to other pro-choice, Democratic women in DC!
WIN's political team works with the Political Director to oversee and implement a diverse range of political programming designed to educate, mobilize and connect our members with the pro-choice, Democratic political issues of today. The political team produces political content for WIN communications and organizes political events that provide members an opportunity to flex their political muscle.
The WIN Conversation Series engages WIN members in critical discussions about gender, equality, race, sexuality, and the movement for women's rights. This series brings area experts together with WIN members in a setting where every person has a voice and every opinion matters.
